Stories and listening
Short graded texts with audio and comprehension questions, and short passages you can replay as often as you like, with transcripts when you want them.
Live radio and comprehensive input
Live stations in the language, transcribed on your device and replayable, and real video and radio found for the language on the Input screen where the deployment has a video provider configured.
Speaking practice
Record an answer; the browser transcribes it on your device and the app compares the words with the phrase. It reports what the recogniser found, not an invented pronunciation score.
Mirror Practice
Speak aloud, then read the transcript and the timer. The aim is spontaneous speech, not a perfect sentence.
Real-world situations and everyday language
Short conversations where someone wants something from you: choose what you would say, and a wrong choice explains itself and lets you try again. Plus the way people really talk to a friend, to anyone, and to someone you should be polite to.
Writing
Write in the language in your own words, then compare with a model answer.
My library
Read your own texts with every word marked as new, being learned or known. It is private to you, and you add only text you have the right to read.
AI Teachers
Twelve teachers, each teaching in a different way over the same curriculum: what differs is how a lesson is structured, how you are corrected, and how much you do rather than listen. Included with Lexi Plus and Pro, and during the trial, where an AI provider is configured.
Lexi Live and Ask your teacher
Live conversation practice with a tutor, from free conversation to role-play and exam modes, on Plus, Pro and the trial. On every plan, the lesson tutor answers a question about the slide you are on.
Placement check
A short, optional assessment that says where in a course to start, so you are not beginning at A1 if you are further along.
Goals and progress
Daily and weekly goals and quests, with XP and a streak when game mode is on; a progress page with minutes, lessons, words learned and due, accuracy, activity and the mistakes that keep coming back.
Optional game mode
XP, hearts and streaks on top of lessons, plus gems for cosmetic themes and Living Companions. Every lesson, review and exercise works with it switched off, and nothing here changes what a lesson teaches.
Four interface languages
Read the site in English, Greek, Dutch or Spanish, independently of the language you are learning, and choose the language explanations are written in.

Download a copy of everything Lexi holds about you, or delete your account and its progress, reviews, decks, history and teacher sessions without asking support. Companion animations can be reduced, and your system's reduced-motion setting is respected.
